It’s been a busy and long year for the foundation’s strategic implementation of activities amidst our collective fight to defeat the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite these tough rides, there are quite a lot of things to be so much grateful about especially looking at the huge achievements recorded so far which couldn’t have been accomplished without a great and dedicated team. These and other successful initiatives implemented both locally and internationally will continue inspiring us as we move to another great year ahead: 2022.

Without a doubt, the year 2022 for us at AAG-Foundation is going to be a year of intensive community empowerment, voice amplification and accountability, strengthening good governance, building the capacity of local CSOs, increased partnerships with international and local development partners and even government to mention but a few.

As we review successes recorded in the year under review (2021) due to our activities in Africa including Nigeria, Niger, and other countries, the team recognizes the important role of strengthening community stakeholders in initiating and sustaining development efforts.

“Human-Centered Design Technical Support for Sustainable Impact” is our slogan in 2022. A community-driven approach which will direct all our interventions in an effort to provide education, potable water, support the healthcare system, and research for development among other high-impact initiatives.

Across it all, we have succeeded. Now is the time to applaud worthy times which wouldn’t have been without interventions and touching lives at the grassroots from Sabon Layi Kara community in Gwarzo LGA, Nigeria to Maradi in Niger up to Togo. We are pleased with our immense impact and the support we got.

Interestingly, at the moment the AAG-Foundation team is taking a moment in reflecting on all we have accomplished as we are winding down the new normal year. These achievements will be published in our upcoming Annual newsletter and infographics.

Some key highlights of the year achievements include; over 700 scholarships awarded (BSc, Masters, and PhDs), donating luxurious school buses to over 6 public and private universities among others.

Additionally, the Foundation supported the enrollment of over 30 vulnerable children and youth to study from Primary to universities and supported school fees to over 50 students studying in higher intuitions across Africa.

Furthermore, hundreds of students WAEC and NECO fees were paid, 131 poor women including people with disabilities on business skills were trained and funded each with N30,000, 100 orphans and vulnerable young girls were also trained on modern makeup, and funded each to get all the business items required.

The Foundation also constructed 11 blocks with 22 classrooms including tables and chairs, 3 teachers’ offices, and 12 toilets in Male and Female secondary schools and intervened in many radio and TV programs, creating awareness on health, education, and other development issues. These are indeed very key summaries.

I wish you all hitch free celebrations this period with your families, friends, and colleagues’ home and abroad.

Stay Safe, be vaccinated to protect yourselves and your families from Omicron and other COVID variants.

Thank You
